WG2 Digital Comparative Collections and AI Training Data for Archaeology
Expertise: machine learning algorithms

I began my journey studying Ancient History, with a particular interest in the archaeology of the ancient world. My dissertation focused on analysing kingship and governance during the Sasanian Empire through the remains Sasanian silverware. During my studies, I became interested in the field of digital archaeology and the potential of data analysis in historical research. This led me to pursue a Master’s in Data Science. Since my Master’s, I have worked in IT consultancy firms, developing data science and machine learning solutions for business use cases. Currently, I am a research assistant in Data Science at a University of Applied Sciences, where I research methods of making predictions with sparse data. I continue to be interested in digital archaeology, and want to combine my data science skills with my passion for history and archaeology.
