Working Group 2 works to identify the critical collections upon which researchers rely to identify their archaeological resources and the issues around their use in digital applications (including AI). They will explore significant impediments, such as copyright issues, and develop relationships with publishers to create more open licensing options for these key collections. It brings together AI specialists and digital archaeologists to share current practices and survey future trends to understand aspects related to data optimisation, technical challenges, and opportunities for AI applications in Archaeology.
