WG3 AI and Archaeological Research

Animated GIF of the letter M

Working Group 3 aims to understand the archaeological research questions that AI could address. Particular attention is to what should be prioritised with limited resources, and whether they include ethical issues to be considered, such as looting or trafficking of antiquities. This includes exploring future scenarios, creating transparency so biases in the data and algorithms can be understood, and long-term sustainability.
