Expertise: preservation of cultural heritage

Aurore Mathys holds a Master’s in Art History and Archaeology (Archeometry). Since 2012, she has worked part-time at the Africamuseum as a digitisation expert, specializing in 3D imaging, multispectral imaging, and microCT. She also works at the University of Liège as an assistant for her PhD and teaches heritage documentation.
Aurore’s PhD focuses on developing 3D multispectral methods for cultural heritage, integrating AI into her analysis.
She collaborates with the RBINS on projects to preserve and study cultural heritage through advanced digitisation techniques.
