Expertise: prehistory and protohistory

I am an Italian archaeologist interested in the social dynamic of Palaeolithic hunter-gatherer groups, their mobility and adaptation strategies in coastal areas in Mediterranean regions. I address these issues through archaeological excavations, stone tool analysis, intra-site spatial analysis and the exploitation of marine resources for tool productions. I developed my research through international, multidisciplinary collaborations. Since 2017 I am professor of Prehistory at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain).
