Gabriele Gattiglia is an Associate Professor in Archaeological Methods and Theory at the University of Pisa. His research focuses on digital archaeology, artificial intelligence, and the application of computational methods to archaeological interpretation. He has led several national and international projects on digital heritage, archaeological data infrastructures, and grey literature analysis using AI. He is currently the Chair of the COST Action MAIA (CA23141) Managing Artificial Intelligence in Archaeology, and PI of the HEU AUTOMATA project.
